A 10-year-old hockey player went ballistic and attacked two officials in the middle of a youth game in Russia.
Artemi Akshumov, a goalkeeper for the Yekaterinburg Youth Sports School team, punched one official and hit another with his stick during the shocking scenes that unfolded at a children’s tournament in Kurganovo, near Yekaterinburg.
A commentator can be heard laughing in the clip highlighted below, and those laughs only become more pronounced as the youngster’s violence is replayed over and over again.
According to Russia Todaythis happened because Akshumov reacted negatively to the punishment.
An official slapped Akshumov with a tripping penalty, and the player protested by hitting the goal frame with his stick.
His frustrations only increased from there when he appeared to attack an opponent, hit an official, then hit another in the head with his stick. Akshumov’s side were trailing heavily by a score of 10-1 at the time.
The incident may have gone unnoticed but former KHL player Nikita Shchitov, 38, amplified it by posting a video on his Telegram channel.

Public website RT claimed the player had clocked up 47 penalty minutes during the tournament.
