Brayden Steele scores twice as Anchor Bay wins MAC Showcase Hockey Game – Macomb Daily

Brayden Steele led Anchor Bay to victory in the MAC Showcase at Mount Clemens Ice Arena.

The forward scored the Tars’ first two goals, and the MAC Red Division team beat Ann Arbor Richard 8-0 in a nine-game hockey game on Monday.

Jake Larabell and Aidan French had one goal and two assists each.

Steele’s second goal, with 14:07 left in the first period, gave the Tars a 2-0 lead, and Larabell’s goal gave Anchor Bay the 3-0 lead they held in second period.

Senior Lukas Dandurand was the winning goaltender.

Bishop Foley 3, Port Huron 2: Nick Alter scored the game-winning goal in the third period. Carter Penn also had a goal from Bishop Foley. Trevor Greig and Ethan White scored for Port Huron.

Ann Arbor Richard 6, St. Clair Shores Unified 0: Center Jack Waldo had a goal and two assists to lead Ann Arbor Richard.

Marysville 5, Thumb Legion 2: Benjamin LaValley scored two goals and assisted on one to trigger Marysville. LaValley’s second goal gave the Vikings a 2-0 lead with 5:37 left in the second period. Nick Adam was the winning goaltender.

Utica-Ford Unified 8, Tawas 0: Anthony Alfonsi scored the first and eighth goals for Utica-Ford Unified. The winners scored all their goals in the second period.
