Celebrate and throw your hats at the Quad City Storm Hockey Game
After checking the tapes, it was decided that Mike Moran was credited with the last goal in the game on October 30, which means…
Hooray, a hat trick! This Friday’s game, after the national anthem, fans are invited to participate in a hat trick for Mike Moran.
What is a hat trick?
As hockey fans know, a hat trick occurs when a player scores three goals. Goals in a match, usually earning him a cascade of hats being thrown onto the ice by fans (especially if the player is on the home team).
A natural hat trick is when a player scores three consecutive goals in a match.
A natural hat-trick did not occur at the time of the goal as it was unclear whether Moran had scored the goal or not. However, upon closer examination of the footage, it was shown that the puck had been fired by Carter Shinkaruk and redirected into Moran’s butt goal!
What a way to score a goal!
Here are the goals from previous matches.
What to expect on Friday
Besides the hat trick, the theme of Friday’s game is Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) celebrating the holiday that remembers our loved ones who have passed away.
There will be an auction after the game after the players have worn these Día de Los Muertos jerseys!
