Cowboys’ Micah Parsons has an epic fail in a minor league hockey game

Micah Parsons has spent an entire season deceiving opposing attacks, but he won’t have as much success fooling fans into thinking he’s a hockey fan.

Parsons, the 2021 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year and All-Pro, recently attended a minor league hockey game in Pennsylvania where he had the honor of dropping the puck. But Parsons instead dropped the ball.

Rather than waiting for players from each team to meet at center ice – as is customary for a face-off – Parsons nonchalantly walked to center ice and tossed the puck like s it was a cigarette butt. The move quickly established Parsons as a rookie hockey fan, at best.

This type of failure is regularly associated with the Cowboys’ playoff hopes, but is not normally linked to the extremely talented Parsons.

A confused Parsons laughed off his blunder and eventually went for a replay, dropping the puck between two players as the crowd roared in approval.

The home team Hershey Bears, who hosted Parsons, wasted no time in taking a light hit on Dallas’ top defenseman. Along with video of the crime scene and a thank you, the Bears tweeted, “We’re so sorry for not explaining how a faceoff works. This one’s on us. Our fault.”

As Micah can attest, it’s not always cool when you’re on the ice.
