High school hockey player of the week
The high school winter sports season is in full swing and with it, our Player of the Week surveys are making a comeback.
Here are the details of the schedules:
Mondays – Boys basketball
Tuesdays – Girls basketball
Wednesdays – Boys hockey
Thursday – Women’s Hockey
Fridays – Athlete of the week (from Friday January 7)
Some final housekeeping notes. The last football players of the week for the fall season were Levante Brown of Southeastern Regional (Offensive) and there was a tie for the Defensive price. Tommy Fanara and Mike VanLuling of Abington shared the honor with Sam Sullivan of Marshfield.

Rachel Smith, Sr., East Bridgewater / West Bridgewater: Smith scored three goals in a 6-4 win over Hopkinton. This victory was the first at the university level for WEB.

Kiera Modder, Jr., Scituate: The forward had five points (two goals, three assists) in a crazy game against Quincy / North Quincy. She scored in overtime to take the Mariners to a 7-6 victory.
Hannah Cochran, Sr., Marshfield: Cochran scored the game-winning goal with 50 seconds left in a 3-2 victory over Scituate.
Savanna Littlewood, Soph., Braintree: Littlewood scored three goals in a 5-0 win over Walpole.
Lila Chamoun, Soph., Milton: Despite losing to Braintree, 1-0, Chamoun made 50 saves to keep his Wildcats in the mix.

Ayla Abban, Jr., Duxbury: Abban had a hat trick in a 6-1 win over Quincy / North Quincy.

Shea Kelleher, Jr., Whitman-Hanson / Silver Lake: Kelleher scored three goals and added three assists in a 9-2 win over Old Rochester Regional.
Mallory Farrell and Emily Johns, Sophs., Algonquin: Farrell (Marlborough High) and Johns (Algonquin) had hat tricks to beat host Algonquin in front of Auburn before Farrell (4 goals) and Johns (3 goals, 2 assists) help their co-op team rout Franklin.
Zoe Ratcliffe, Sr., Medway: The senior goaltender managed her first-ever college shutout in a 3-0 win over Medfield.
