Hingham boys hockey take big win over Arlington High

HINGHAM – Here are the results of recent sporting action from Hingham High.

BOYS BASKETBALL

In the hoop action on Tuesday January 4th, Hingham traveled to Plymouth South. Senior Nick Johannes led the way with 27 points and junior Liam McBride had eight, but it wasn’t enough as the Harbormens fell to the Panthers 52-51.

The Friday January 7 game at Marshfield High has been postponed due to snow. On Tuesday January 11 the Harbormens hosted Silver Lake and on Friday January 14 the Harbormens will travel to Duxbury to face the Green Dragons with a 6:30 p.m. warning.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

On Tuesday January 4th, Hingham hosted Plymouth South. Senior Perry Blasetti led the way with 24 points and junior Ellie Saviticus had 11 points as the Harborwomen claimed a 64-42 victory over the Lady Panthers. Hingham is now 5-1 overall and 4-0 in the Patriot League.

The Friday January 7 game at Marshfield High has been postponed due to snow.

On Tuesday January 11, the Harbourwomen traveled to Silver Lake. On Friday January 14, the Harborwomen will welcome the Duxbury Lady Green Dragons with a warning at 6:30 p.m.

BOYS HOCKEY

Hingham’s men’s hockey team traveled to St. John’s Shrewsbury to face the Pioneers last week. Junior Aidan Brazel, senior Ace Concannon, junior Billy Jacobus, senior Ryan Burns and junior Charlie Even scored goals for the Harbormens as the Harbormens claimed a 5-0 victory over the Pioneers.

They were back on the ice on Sunday January 9 on the road against the top Arlington Spy Ponders and they skated off the ice with an impressive 4-1 victory. Brazel scored twice in the win as the Harbormens improved to 5-2 this season.

The Harbormens went to the Catholic Memorial on Tuesday night to face the Knights at Babson College Ice Skating Center and on Wednesday they traveled to Franklin.

The Harbormens will host the Braintree Wamps on Saturday, January 15 with a face-off at 3:30 p.m.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Hingham hosted Duxbury on Wednesday January 5th. Freshmen Caroline Doherty scored a goal for the Harborwomen, but it wasn’t enough as the Harborwomen fell to the Lady Green Dragons 3-1. Hingham is now 3-3 overall and 1-2 in Patriot League Play.

On Wednesday January 12, Hingham hosted Scituate and then they will be back on the ice on Saturday January 15 to welcome Pembroke with a face-off at 5:30 p.m.
