Local roundup: Freeport field hockey scores upset by York

FREEPORT — Anna Maschino scored from a penalty corner with an assist from Emily Groves in the first quarter to lead Freeport to a 1-0 upset against York in field hockey action on Friday.

Freeport goaltender (5-2-1) Piper Williams made nine saves.

Natalle Dickenson stopped 10 shots for York (7-1-0).

BRUNSWICK 4, LINCOLN 0: Ellie Sullivan had a goal and two assists as the Dragons (7-3-1) defeated the Eagles (0-10-1) in Brunswick.

Kiki Dinsmore, Felicity Jackson and Ava Wolverton each added a goal.

Hunter Gilmore made 12 saves for Lincoln.

GIRLS SOCCER

TRAIP 1, RICHMOND 0: Noelle Denholm scored the game’s only goal to lead Traip to victory.

Autumn Lane made 18 saves for Richmond (6-4-0) while Teghan Page made seven saves for Traip (3-6-0).

BOYS SOCCER

GREAT PORTLAND CHRISTIAN 2, PIN 1: Papa Osei’s second goal of the game gave the Lions (4-3) a double overtime win over the Breakers (3-2-1) in Freeport.

Silas Yeaton scored for Pine Tree.

TRAIP 2, RICHMOND 1: Giacomo Peyron converted a penalty and David Durling scored the game-winning goal for Rangers (8-1) against the Bobcats (6-3-1) at Kittery.
