My new favorite hockey player is this little guy who knocked the crowd down in the middle of the game

Growing up, I was always a great Eric Lindros. I’ve also always loved watching Russians from the 90s and early 2000s. Guys like Pavel Bure, Sergei Fedorov, and Alexei Kovalev. They all reigned.

But what if I got any player’s hockey jersey on the planet now? It’s that little guy. Because he just has it. Some children are born to become doctors. Some children are born to be great musicians. This kid here? He was born to be a hockey player.

Do you know how difficult the life of a 5 year old hockey player is? You can’t even sniff a crack of ice until the sun comes up. Your games are over before most of your other friends wake up on the weekend. Sleeping for you means you have a puck at 6 am instead of a game at 5:30 am. You’re cold, you’re tired, you’re cranky. Most of the children would just sit there and cry until their parents brought them home to watch their cartoons. But not this kid. He knows the best way to take that frustration out on the ice is to increase your speed a bit. Let the chirps fly, flip the bird early and often. It all happens when you are on the ice. And a child who can recognize that at this age is nothing less than a wonder. He also looks like he’s waiting for the puck to leave his own zone before knocking the crowd down. He’s a good team player. Captain’s gear.
