Non-Alcohol Section Added for Upcoming UND Hockey Game – Grand Forks Herald

A non-alcoholic section will be added for an upcoming men’s hockey game.
The Ralph Engelstad Arena, Grand Forks Youth Commission and Grand Forks Public Schools announced plans to implement an alcohol-free seating section for the UND Fighting Hawks hockey game against the U.S. National Team Development Program on January 1 at the Ralph Engelstad Arena.
Section 310 in the Upper Bowl has been designated as an alcohol-free section for the New Year’s game, the school district said in a news release. The section was created to give families the opportunity to enjoy a UND hockey game at home in an alcohol-free seating environment, the statement said. Fans purchasing tickets in section 310 for this game are not permitted to consume alcoholic beverages while seated in the section.
The puck drop is scheduled for 2:37 p.m. for this holiday morning game.
There are 100 free tickets available for this section. They can be claimed on a first-come, first-served basis at the Mark Sanford Education Center (2400 47th Ave. S) Dec. 22-23, Dec. 28-30 between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The game is also part of Ralph’s Coca-Cola New Year’s celebration. Adult and youth tickets are $15 in the upper bowl, including non-alcoholic seats.
Coca-Cola New Year’s Hockey Celebration tickets can be purchased at the Ralph Engelstad Arena box office or online at www.ticketmaster.com using promo code COKE22.
