Penn State Adds Men’s Hockey Game Jan. 1 at Army West Point; Postponed Princeton-Quinnipiac Series rescheduled for Jan. 18, Jan. 26 – College Hockey
Penn State announced the addition of a single game against Army West Point this Saturday, January 1 at the Tate Rink in West Point, NY
The game comes following the cancellation of the Nittany Lions New Years series with Maine earlier this week due to positive COVID-19 results in the Black Bears program.
This is the first meeting between Penn State and the Army since opening night at the Pegula Ice Arena on October 11, 2013, when the Nittany Lions won 4-1 over the Black Knights in front of a crowd of 6,370 people, the second largest crowd in construction history.
It is also only the second meeting between the two teams at West Point as Penn State claimed a 5-0 victory at Tate Rink on October 26, 2012.
The face-off is scheduled for 5:05 p.m. Saturday night and the game will be available to stream on FloHockey.tv.
Additionally, Princeton has announced that its men’s hockey series with Quinnipiac which was scheduled for the upcoming weekend has been rescheduled to Jan. 18 (7 p.m. at Quinnipiac) and January 26 (7 p.m. at Hobey Baker Rink).
Fans who had previously purchased tickets for the postponed game at Hobey Baker Rink on January 3 can use those tickets for the postponed game on January 26.
