Saratoga Springs Fire Department to Host Police Charity Hockey Game

SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY (NEWS10) – Saratoga Springs firefighters will host the Police Benevolent Association charity hockey game on November 20. The game will be played at the Weibel Rink in Saratoga Springs, starting at 6 p.m.
This classic annual holiday game will benefit the Franklin Community Center in Saratoga Springs. Officials say the cost of admission to the game is free with any donation of a new, unwrapped toy. The gifts will be distributed by the Franklin Community Center, with the goal that every child in the area can wake up on Christmas morning with a gift under the tree.
In addition to toys collected on game night, organizers have placed toy collection boxes at the Lake Avenue Fire Station, West Avenue Fire Station, Saratoga Springs Police Department, Kings Tavern and at Panza’s on the Lake. Donations will be accepted at these locations until match day.
Officials say there will also be raffle items available on match night from various sponsors. The goal is to collect additional cash donations that will go directly to the Franklin Community Center.
