South earns win in Senior All-Star field hockey game


SACO – Team South won 2-1 over North in the 2022 McNally Senior All-Star Game at Thornton Academy on Saturday, July 16 as part of the Maine Field Hockey Association’s 13th Annual Maine Field Hockey Festival . The North’s 18-player roster included Rayna Barnard of Dexter Regional High School and Aleshia Raymond of Foxcroft Academy among Class A, B and C players.

The North’s 18-player roster included Rayna Barnard of Dexter Regional High School and Aleshia Raymond of Foxcroft Academy among the Class A, B, and C players. are faced to represent North and South.

According to the Kennebec Journal, Aver Baker of Hall-Dale High School in Farmingdale scored the winner with 5:29 left. Chloe Bush of Falmouth High School scored the first goal for the South and Franke Caccarno of Messalonskee High School in Oakland scored for the North.

The team MVPs were Samantha McGrath from Kennebunk High School for the south and Madison Shorey from Belfast Area High School for the north.

Game proceeds will be donated to Camp Sunshine, https://www.campsunshine.org/.
