Vote for High School Female Hockey Player of the Week

Duxbury High School Aila Abban was elected on High School Female Hockey Player of the Week.

The junior, who received 40% of all votes, led a grand final in a 5-1 win over Falmouth. The forward scored a hat trick as the Dragons turned a 1-1 tie into a blowout victory with four goals in the third period.

Fallon Smith, seventh grader, East Bridgewater/West Bridgewater: Smith’s shutout was the first in program history for WEB in a 4-0 win over Stoughton.

Carolyn Durand, Jr., Canton: In his first game back from injury, Durand posted a shutout in a 3-0 win over Franklin.

Erin Condon, Soph., Hanover: Condon scored twice in a 4-3 win over Whitman-Hanson/Silver Lake.

Mallory Farrell, Sophie, Marlborough: The sophomore scored two goals and added an assist in Algonquin Women’s Hockey Team’s 6-1 win over Oakmont.

Mikal Franklin, Jr., Framingham: This junior made 23 saves, improving her goals-against average to .955 in the process, as Framingham (2-1-1, 1-0-0 BSC) earned a 3-1 win over Walpole.

Maggie Lester, Sr., Medway: Lester scored three goals and provided three assists as Medway/Ashland (5-2, 3-1 TVL) earned an 8-2 victory over Dedham.
