Vote for High School Male Hockey Player of the Week
Ben Romer of Rockland High has been elected High School Hockey Player of the Week.
The freshman, who got 47% of the vote, scored his first college goal at the perfect time. He broke a 1-1 tie with his first tally to take the Bulldogs to a 2-1 win over East Bridgewater / West Bridgewater.

And this week’s contestants are …
Aidan McDonnell, Sr., BC High: The captain helped lead the Eagles to victory in the Pete Frates Winter Classic. In a 3-2 win over Pope Francis in the final, McDonnell netted a goal and an assist. In the first round of the tournament, a 5-3 victory over St. John’s Prep, he scored two goals.
Will Martin, Jr., Quincy: Martin scored two goals, including the win with 20 seconds left, a 4-3 win over Brookline. It was his second winning tally of the young season.

Jackson Sylvester, Sr., Archbishop Williams: Sylvester scored the game-winning overtime goal to carry the Bishops to a 1-0 victory over Arlington Catholic.
Aiden Harrington, Jr., Duxbury: The Dragons recovered from a 1-0 third-period deficit with three third-period goals, including two from Harrington.
Charlie Caputo, Jr., Stoughton / Brockton: Caputo had a hat trick to lead his team to a 7-2 victory over Bellingham.
Carter Mento, Sr., Plymouth North: Winning the nomination for the second week in a row, Mento scored two goals, including the overtime winner, to take the Blue Eagles to a 4-3 victory over Whitman-Hanson.
Ben Chwalek, Sr., Lincoln-Sudbury: The senior scored two goals for the Warriors in the annual Warriors 4 Warriors – Patriots 4 Patriots hockey game as LS beat CC, 5-1.
Jack and Sam Hubbard, Natick: These two brothers both scored their first career college goals in Natick’s overtime victory over King Philip.
